Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
The first shotgun I bought was a (5 +1) Maverick 88. I bought the 12 gauge instead of the 20 gauge and it is an 18.5" barrel. I put a LaserLyte tri-rail with a Streamlight TLR-2 light, a TacStar 6 round side saddle, and a Houge 12" LOP buttstock on it. I keep it loaded with Federal Low Recoil 9 pellet 00 buckshot.
No issues and I have shot 400 rounds through it now.
I have one similar to the one above, I bought it for a "boat gun" to use on the ocean, It was abused in a harsh environment for over a year with out a hiccup. I have it home now cleaned up it still works great.
I bought one a year or so ago in 12ga, and it shot fine, but for some reason there were certain brands of shells that would NOT EJECT. This made me have to unscrew the barrel to release the shell. The ammo I had tried were both Winchester Super X and Remmington... both of which 2.75". Federal worked fine though. I thought this was unacceptable and actually traded it in and got a legit Mossberg 500. I'm happier now.
