The M5 Bayonet was adopted by the U.S. military in 1953 to replace other bayonets for the M1 Garand rifle. It uses the M8A1 scabbard.

    This is the rarest combination of bayonet and scabbard for the M14. VIZ only produced 50k scabbards and Aerial produced, by far, the fewest bayonets. You can determine the condition yourself, all I have done to it is lightly brush it with a small brass brush. It's got some honest wear for sure...
