Pros
  • It’s indoors
Cons
  • Many
So, I have shot at the shooting range three times now. Each time has gotten worse and worse. The first time ; I was told that I couldn't shoot 5.56 ammo unless purchased from them.

This isn't a reload but the same ammo factory sealed that they are selling for a marked up price.

I chose not to shoot 5.56 and shot 9/45pistol instead. That's fine only 5.56 you must buy from them. I understand that businesses have to make a profit, they don't want targets to get chewed up. I get it.

This wouldn't have been an issue however, I specifically called and ask if they allowed 5.56 to be fired before hand… No one said yes but it must be purchased from us.

I'll chock this one up to poor communication and maybe I should have ask, if I could shoot my own 5.56 ammo.

Again, they allow you to bring in all other ammo to be fired just not 5.56.

Furthermore, and the second time I went they couldn't find me in the system.

You have to watch a video and typical paperwork if you haven't shot there before .

Not an issue but now they want me to do it again. Already pressed for time and just wanting to shoot it seemed like a bs thing but their rules.

I had just shot there two weeks before hand and Apparently a system change and now everyone was effected…

Strike two in my book… system error but i signed paperwork… where did that go?

Now, against my better judgement I decided to shoot today, it's between 19 and 21 degrees so an indoor range seemed nice.

No issues getting in,they have me on file, I go to my lane and the RSO is watching as they should..

I Set my range bag down to start setting up my target. I hear it has to be under the table yelled.

No worries, I comply and the bag goes under the table . Guess I'll grab everything out from under the table after.

Now, I go to set up my target and the RSO comes over with the I'm in charge attitude. He tells me to just stop.

I comply and he pulls out a tool to adjust the top portion of the swivel. Not my target but the portion that allows it to hold in place and the automatic sensor. Their equipment so, sure he must see something.

My whole goal for the day is to get my distance. I complete the first 8round mag in a double tap/ controlled pair drill.

RSO comes over like a storm trooper and says slow down. …. Now, all my rounds are on paper and they look good.

I was about to start pushing further. However, it is at this time that I have decided that this just isn't the range for me.

I will not return nor will I recommend to anyone.

I understand that facilities have their own set of rules and standards and Im completely okay with this. Nevertheless nothing was against their posted rules. Every time I have went some sort of issue.

I further understand communication sometimes is shotty over the phone, system errors, and just getting that one bad customer service occasionally…. I don't understand something being an issue every time.

As far as the Gun shop, I haven't had an issue with the two FFL transfers I have done but that was quite some time ago. They are slow to get to you and it's always busy

Pros
  • Good Selection, good prices
Cons
  • A bit tight inside
Discovered them looking for a specific item no one else had. The price was reasonable, but it just wasn't for me; wish I had liked it more after I saw it. It was an S&W model 48 22WMR revolver. If you look on-line, they run about $800-900. Nice shop though and certainly worth checking out.
