Amazing shop with great staff that are always very helpful. Cant recommend this place enough. There inventory on parts and equipment is the best around the area imo.
Large pistol selection with multiple options available
I've been to quite a few gun shops all over the US, and this one is better than most!
Big selection of pistols and rifles. Full size safes, tons of accessories, and plenty of staff on hand. Staff is on hourly pay and not based on commission
Indoor range attached to the other end of the building
They have quite a few oddball guns that are hard to find
I ended up buying a new pistol with zero intention of buying a gun that day. Simply because they had it in stock, and I had 4 options to choose from of the same gun.
I bought my Canik TP-9 Elite SC and the sale was flawless. I love doing business with small family owned businesses whenever possible and Gator's fits the bill!
They have good stuff... probably the pushiest sales I have ever seen for a gunshop.

Pros
They cater to dudes like me
They have cool shit sometimes... (non covid)
Cons
The salesmanship is kinda offputting.
They have stuff... most gun shops I have been in don't seem to give a crap if you buy or don't. These guys do tend to push sales to an annoying level. Up side, they have some good stuff sometimes. Review completed under duress from the forum... Was the first shop on the list I had been to.
Stopped in because I didn't bring a punch and needed to switch out a palm swell on a pistol that a female family member was going to shoot.
He didn't have any spare punches he could sell but said he'd take the pistol back to his bench and switch it out for me.
This was a huge help, I've changed palm swell but with out my tools (which were 100 miles away at home) its a little difficult.
The guy wouldn't even take any money for helping out, so I bought some ammo, which was very well priced and In stock at a time e when ammo was hard to find.
Will definitely give this shop more of my buissnes anytime im down in the south coast area. Excellent shop.

Pros
Super high quality selection. Family run shop. Straight Forward people
Very nice gunsmithing also
Cons
Not a large selection.
I've done multiple transfers. A couple straight out purchases. And gotten help/gunsmithing/advice. There Always seems to be at least one box of ammo I could use for purchase. A very clean shop. They have upscale fly fishing equipment as well. I've also received sound advice on marketing/selling some personal wares that was right on. Thanks.
Offers facilities for a variety of shooting sports. It's open to the public so it can get quite crowded on weekends. There are a lot of yahoos who don't know their bubblegum from their elbow and the range masters tend to be crabby and overbearing because of this. I get it, but it doesn't make for a great experience for experienced and disciplined shooters. The member ranges are "decent", but I find the office staff to often be curt and discourteous, and I much prefer to go elsewhere
This is a very small shop, but IMHO its the best FFL in all of Portland... the prices and level of service are unbeatable, and Steve just might be the nicest dude on the planet.
I would pick Steve over any other FFL in the Portland area for any kind of transfer, buying any suppressor, or ordering any kind of specialty parts... this is the best shop in town and Steve is a saint.
Great little gun store tucked behind Shopko and the Army Recruiting Center in Bend. They have a good selection of product on-hand, and they can also order most anything to arrive within a week. Prices are reasonable, and both Tom and Ed provide super-friendly customer service.
Great club. I've been going here since the mid-1990s and it's only got better with time. I hope they can extend a longer rifle range someday (1,000 yards would be awesome), but I don't think that'll happen anytime soon. Still, a great club.
Been a member here for a bit, very glad I joined!
I used to have to go up in the hills to find a spot, I would have to lug everything down the trail, set up a table and try to get it flat etc.
Covered bays and supplied target stands are nice.
Main range can get busy sometimes but that just means you might not have a free table on either side of you, not that you're waiting for a bench.
A lot of LE agencies/depts from the valley train/qual here and it can be annoying when you go to shoot pistols and half the bays are occupied by cops. Checking the schedule helps you avoid these days.
Been in there a couple of times for transfers, the guys are always super friendly and very prompt on notifying you when the background checks have cleared.
The shop is pretty small, but the prices on the guns are reasonable.
They just recently updated their transfers from $30 to $35, I knocked a point off their price rating. (04/21/2022)
Great for the price, and the culture of stewardship is strong. People are invested in taking great care of the range and it's resources. If you feel the same way, definitely come join!
Low stock on lots of ammo (I don't really consider this a bad thing on their part)
Prices seem high in COVID market (I don't really consider this a bad thing on their part)
They lost my firearm for a week (yes they really did)
There has been two different times I needed to send my Ruger 10/22 back to Ruger, and a Ruger MPR. Both times they were happy to help me. They even took time out of their day to look at my rifle to see if they could figure out the problem. Sent it back for me no problems.
Now there was a time they lost my Ruger MPR for a week. I was obviously not happy about that. Called Ruger and asked them where it was and they said It had ben delivered. So I called Fishermans and told them and they told me they didn't have it. Long story short, Ruger sent my MPR to their warhorse and not the store. So I don't blame them completely but worth mentioning.
