This is my new favorite FFL. The transfer fee is a bit higher side, but I would continue supporting them as they are a full local gunshop with great customer services.
I like these guys. I've used them to transfer 3x and each time its a solid transfer. I sent them an email with my invoice and let them know they are my FFL of choice for this transaction. They took care me of me each time.
I purchased my first firearm here and I continue to come back for additional purchases because they are helpful, friendly, and have a good stock of modern guns.
I've been to several local gun stores and most have been filled with smug and rude sales people. In my dozen or so visits here I've been treated with respect every time. I also love that they will respond to emails!
They were happy to answer questions and give me information
I bought my last Sig here and was unsure about the cost, availability, time it would take to arrive, how much I had to put down, etc. and some recent changes in the laws here. They answered all my questions politely and were happy to help. Overall a good experience and I'd be happy to go back again to buy a firearm. Don't have any experience with them buying firearms or even if they consign them, if they did I would consider it too since they were nice.
Bought a gun on consignment there. They were knowledgeable and the price was right. They honored the 3 day wait so I got to pickup in a timely manner.
Great experience!
J&B is my favorite local gun store. They are helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to answer questions. I've purchased firearms here as well as consigned and the process always goes smoothly.
Came here for a transfer, great customer service and selection. One of the best gun shops I've been to in Oregon. If you're in the Portland metro come here, I'll definitely be coming back in the future.
Great shop! Employees are super helpful. Have gone through their story in years past to do transfers as well as purchased a couple guns from them. Employees are top notch, helpful and honest. They've even pointed out a sale that was happening at another competitor that ended up saving me some $ which doesn't happen too often! Will be going back.
Went in for a Private Transfer for an AR-15, which was still allowed since FFL's are being limited severely all over the Portland Metro Area. Was told where to sign, what to expect and how the process would go.
I am new to AR's and longer guns, and was looking for a carry handgun for when I ride around my motorcycle. Staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and didn't balk at my newbie questions.
Was given a recommendation of a Sig P365X/Macro or MP Shield Plus. Was able to hold both, and given a decent set of pros/cons. The staff made me feel like I wasn't asking silly questions or anything, so they've gained a long term customer!
got to say i gave them 3 stars for selection because the first time I vested the shop I wasn't impressed thinking the shop had nothing in stock but i went in during shot show weekend and 114.
very quickly everyone that worked there explained to me why inventory was low and I have to say I cant blame them ha-ha over all I did buy something and they all were very helpful and id recommend to stop by and check them out.... I'm sure inventory will be back up the next time I visit
Good selection of fire arms and can get almost anything you might need
Cons
They don't have the best selection of Ammo (but I think a lot of that is supply issues).
I've purchased 4 firearms here (if you include my brother's Rem 700). They were awesome. I'm fairly new to rifles but wanted to pick up an AR before the new measure got put in place. I had spoken to people there on the phone back in summer about build options and how to get started. When in first back in November and picked up a STAG15 Tactical. They were great going over the features and despite how crazy things had gotten with the new restrictions were able to get me what I needed. I also ordered a Glock 48 at the time and recently a P226. They were very good about keeping in touch with ETAs and smoothing handling paperwork. I mainly deal with James when I go in but all the people there are really great and I'd highly recommend going there.
They have been a bit light on inventory for the past few months but so has everywhere else from what I hear.
These guys are fantastic. Willing to walk you through everything from advising on particular parts, brands and use case for your visit in as well as answering questions for areas of interest or creating a better understanding of the tools offered.
Can't sing their praises enough I have been to a few other local shops and these guys and gals are by far the most welcoming and helpful even to a new face like mine.
If they do not having something in stock, they will source it for you and walk you through options.
They have earned my loyalty and my business locally goes here, period.
