Raye & Gary sold several firearms for me on consignment. They sold them fast & got me really good prices. Unlike a couple of other gun stores that tried to rip me off. They are honest & trustworthy. It's the only gun store in Oregon that I will deal with!
Bought a couple machine guns from Ray years ago. Ended up selling him my sten not long after. A fair guy. Love his shop. He always had a huge friendly dog in the back too.
I've purchased, done transfers and gotten repairs done all without a hitch. On the repair side, it cost less than I expected while fixing a problem two other gunsmiths botched. Ray explained why what he did worked where the others failed so learn some useful stuff as well.
Unless they've changed policy in the past few years......

Quite a few years ago I bought a pistol from them. They would not allow me to do a BASIC disassembly to inspect it, and they wouldn't take it down to the point I needed it taken to. ( Yes I asked all the questions a buyer would asked when not allowed to fully inspect it.). They did tell me that if I had any problem with it to contact them. They appeared to be sincere when they told me that there shouldn't be any problems and that they would "make it right" if there was.
I bought it and got it home. I took it apart to inspect it and sure as heck, it was broke!. I contacted them immediately. First they implied that I shot it and it broke on me, so that wasn't their fault. Then I told them that I JUST got it home and took it apart and that it was broken.
They then told me that I should have inspected it better before I bought it because "all used firearms are sold as-is". I argued MORE explaining that they wouldn't let me take it apart in the store.
Then they asked if I was a gunsmith? "NO! i am not". Well, you'll have to take it to a competent 'smith that is knowledgeable with these types of pistols and have them do an inspection report, and send the report to us.... HOW am I supposed to find a competent gunsmith that knows anything about this type of gun? They are rare and all the 'smith's that I've contacted know nothing about it. Sorry, we'll have to see a competent 'smith's eval before we go any further.
Needless to say, I tracked down someone that could re-weld and re-machine that part. It only cost me another $350 to have it fixed.
As I mentioned, this was quite a few years ago and i vowed that i would eat a warm plate of feces before i EVER stepped foot back in the place!
Unless they've changed, I'd beware of buying any used firearm from them.
NOTE: They did have a decent selection and the prices were average.
EVA is a great place to check, before you buy online

Pros
Exceptionally knowledgeable staff! Ray has been around a long time, he’s familiar with stuff that isn’t just the internet rage of today.
As I said above, Ray is extremely knowledgeable. He has spent enough time in the gun shop to know whats up. Great selection, even though things are a little skinny right now. His prices are very fair, before you shop online, check with him!
