Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
I have known them for over 25 years. They have always been helpful. Have bought several things from them and have sold things on consignment. They know what I like and always give me a call if something comes in I may be interested in. Have also done layaway several times.
I am giving this review because at one time I was a really big customer there. Back in the day, I bought at least a dozen used guns from Cascade. But the last time I went there, they didn't even have any 22 long rifle ammo. They are now very poorly stocked. This is a combination gun and pawn shop, but they can't seem to settle on one thing or another and try to do THAT thing well. They sell used guns. Prices on the used rifles are better than the pistols.
Years ago, they were the go-to place in the Auburn area for used guns, and not so much a pawn shop, although they DID do pawn back then. About 75% of their business was used guns when they were a hot concern. And the prices were flat-out great. If you wanted a cheap gun, you went to Cascade.
These days, business always seems slow and there are far more pawned items for sale than guns. As far as ammo and supplies, chances are you WON'T find what you need there, and anything black powder is a zero. It's too bad they fell from being a people-friendly gun shop with hot deals to the rather lame business they have going today. If you are desperate for a few boxes of 22 long rifle or any really common ammo, you might get lucky, but it will probably be a wasted trip.
