large inventory of lever actions, hunting rifles and harder to find ammuntion.
Shannon is a wealth of knowledge and a great resource for when you're looking for something off the beaten path. They have a great selection of specialty and hard to find ammo on the shelf that you would normally have to special order. They stock NFA items and silencers, so you can actually make sure the silencer you're considering is the right size for your application and avoid additional wait times from form 3's when you order them online. They also have a good stock of lever actions, which is what really keeps me coming back.
Monroe has needed a good gun shop forever. I found myself going into this shop a couple times to kill some time and see what they had in stock. I purchased 1 lower and asked some questions about other stock. The wife is ok but the husband seemed like I wasn't worth talking to. I'm 51 and have been around guns all my life so I wasn't just some punk asking dumb questions, but I was left thinking "dang if you can't even make helpful conversation, you are in the wrong business". The majority of the prices were out of site. Not worth my time to go in again.
I've bought a few items from them - rifles, and 2 pistols. They could not get the best price on any of these, but they acted as my FFL from where I did buy them. Good service. Good inventory of items. I also sold a pistol to them that I thought was lower than I expected. But, they are local to me and I would recommend them.
I bought my grandkids a Cricket there, some ammo, a few mounts etc. Always been met with friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. They've been well stocked in spite of the craziness in the world. I'd recommend them.
