I'm inquiring on this one for it looks like it will do the jobs I need. It has the soap container built in on the cart. It has 3 power washer tips. This is basically what other posted in what they did to their house. So far I havent read any problems yet. The only obvious con is the height if the cart. I'm also considering in just using this once or twice every 2 years.

PS. I like to get the the other power washer model they're offering in Bi-Mart coz I always like buying from them (supporting local business). There are reviews from 2 or 3 customers that the pump get shot in 5 hours of use. Not sure yet if that's always the case. The closest local buy that I can see it is Best Buy

That's the same features as my Ryobi. Pro tip: Don't use the rotating tip on your car. I'm sure they tell you not to in the instructions, but if you get it too close, it will remove anything glued on, stickers, even paint sometimes. On mine it will take moss off of absolutely anything though.

I blast my grocery getter at the carwash once a week around 4:30am then drive fast to work to dry till I get 5:30 in Clackamas. :s0090: The Austin and the MG I just handwash it with wax and water. I haven't use a soap on it over 20 years now.

What kind of wax are you using to wash the cars? Is it a liquid type you're pouring into the bucket first? First I've heard anyone doing that.

Back when I was a kid I was really into car detailing. The go-to from the professionals was to use a mild ratio of Dawn. I guess that's changed.

Wax and water is an old term from not using a soap. Soap takes off a coating film from your car. It will degrade in time. Just wash it with water and terry towel. When it drys up wax it with a very good category of liquid Carnuba wax. Like a red Meguiar. I'm using a different brand but its basically the same.
If you want glass finish (like showroom) I can tell you a bit of it but not everyone does it because there are steps that are not common practices and can be a risk to your paint finish. This photo was taken 3 years ago and the car was painted in 1987. Which is an example of how I maintain my car.

Started building a list that a friend has been asking me for, of guns and ammo/accessories in my future list, he is planning on ordering some stuff...

A basic for what I can remember currently, there are more to add, current list is about 10k including some not out yet or I hope will be made.

Eventually I'll be organizing alot more...

Once or twice a year I blast my daily monthly driver with my pressure washer to remove the mold/moss that grows on it and the leaves/etc., then I go to the car wash and ask for "The Works".

The truck and pickup just get blasted with the pressure washer - they get a lot more mold/moss because they sit a lot more.

Thanks in the pressure washer info all. Considering getting one. For home & cars. Appreciate it…
In some cases, Memorial Day offers lots of good savings especially in the older model (which I'm thoroughly okay for certain items). So this might be a perfect timing.
I'm actually waiting for another ammo sale from our buddies at Bi-Mart. :s0090:

This is not meant as a discussion thread. Just what you did today to prep.

If you didn't do anything, please don't post, but feel free to read what others have done to prep.

I stole the thread idea from ARFCOM Survival section.

Post what you did, practiced, or bought.

If you have questions, feel free to start a tread here in the Survival Forum.
I went through my go bag, checked all my mags and bumped up my emergency cash. I figured with inflation, what I thought was reasonable in the past, needed an inflation bump. I checked my tourniquet and Israeli wound pack kit, just to make sure everything was still accessible.

Got my tomatoes in the greenhouse yesterday.

Joined the local Elks club last night. We don't know many people in town besides our kids and the commies that we went to high school with who live half a mile away. 2 sisters. Man-hating commies, but they always want to ask my handy husband to borrow tools and help with things like hanging doors and laying concrete. He put his foot down with the concrete.
We need new friends. Not commies. So we decided to join the Elks :s0082:

Watch the pressure.

My driveway is old (over 30 years old) but, it was in good condition. My son used the pressure washer on it. Oh, what a mistake. Now, it looks like it's sort of "crumbling".

Funny......that he did the driveway, without even me asking him to. But, when I asked him to wash off the mold from the vinyl siding, he hasn't moved a finger. Perhaps, it's was more like a NEW TOY for him (at the time of the driveway)?

Aloha, Mark

Just ordered a small portable propane "camping" stove as an alternative cooking device.

I have a multi-fuel lantern that allows for cooking - but it would be somewhat awkward for anything that wasn't a small pot. I also have a woodstove that can heat/cook stuff if I put the liner from my slow cooker on it. But this would be better if the power goes out, and for camping.
Got it and briefly tested that it went together and made heat with flame.

I need to look around and see if I have the right adapter to run this from a 20# tank too.

Walmart delivered a Chinese headlamp and some cheap AAA batteries.

Not only did I prep, I exercised by opening the front door and reaching down to pick up the package :)

Mixed up a batch of roughly 155 proof apple pie, just over a half gallon.

One shot will fix all your problems....

*WAIT* What??
It's a mixture of locally produced apple cider plus cinnamon and cinnamon sticks with apple crown. Cooked down from a gallon to about 3 cups.

Then I mix 1.5 cups of the mix and half a gallon of clear springs 190proof alcohol.

A rough calculation puts it about 155proof.

Another one I "make" is the same locally produced apple cider which is then freeze dried and then reconstituted in 80 proof vodka.

Have a half gallon of that one. Few more months and both should be nice and smooth.
