Over the counter…what is an "otc" cow tag?
and where do you get this "over the counter" cow elk tag?Over the counter…
read page 48 in the regulations.and where do you get this "over the counter" cow elk tag?
ya, ok, I see it now. good luck.read page 48 in the regulations.
it is what used to be called damage pool. nearly 100% private land.Is that the Willamette elk tag?
my thoughts exactly, that is why I never pursued on of those tags, landowners aren't nearly as friendly as they used to be. you may be able to get on someones property but be prepared to pay a hefty fee. probably cheaper to buy beef!I know people whove hunted these tags and they are not easy at all to fill unless your the landowner himself and live on the property. The problem is the elk in these areas range is much larger than the landowners property... if the elk show up or pass thru, you have to drop everything. If you can get access to a very very very large property it might be better... good luck.
I have never ran into that in my area. That's bs if that's the caseLandowners bubblegumed to ODFW about damage.
ODFW issued tags.
Landowners wont allow public access or charge hefty hunting fees.
Sounds about right for Oregon.

Fair.If you don't like it, buy your own property and do what you want. My land, my rules.
I guess I have a in with my occupation. I know where your coming from and completely understand it. People in general mistreat private property. I have a very small group that is allowed to hunt on my propertyIf you don't like it, buy your own property and do what you want. My land, my rules.
Sure you do. Then why are on here crying about private land owners? I think your tag filling is wishful thinking.Fair.
I actually own 53% of Oregon. I have no problem filling tags.
It's all about who you know! The land owners I work for are all good people. Trust is a 2 way streetSure you do. Then why are on here crying about private land owners? I think your tag filling is wishful thinking.
I don't think that's just an Oregon thing. If you worked your arse off to get that property , are then fortunate in receiving tags for animal damage… I don't think you would just let anyone on for free.Landowners bubblegumed to ODFW about damage.

Heck no you wouldn't - and then are probably pretty dang selective with those you MIGHT let on - regardless of what the charge might be.I don't think that's just an Oregon thing.
