I been wearing progressive lens forever. When I started shooting, I found out something really valuable when it comes to prescription glasses. One day I went the dollar store by accident and they were selling some new reading glasses items. Out of curiosity I started trying them one by one and end up getting 4 pairs or different grades that are clear and comfortable in a distance of looking at a rifle or handgun sight to 22 yard and up distance. From 2.25 prescription, I am down to 1.25 on target glasses. And my favorite is a curve. I am not a veteran shooter but this is the result it gave me after I switched vs when I was previously targeting from okay sight view to muscle memory target view.

I personally use Oakley Shock Tube glasses with safety lenses. What I like about them is that they have a quick change lens system, so I swap between clear and dark lenses.
