odd comment...

do you think obama and biden are less "the devil?"

they're all just men. being politicians, they're bought and paid for by the devil- but they're all just men.

No... that was my response to the russian. They are all the same to me... that is my point...

Also I have to ask myself if the standing president were a Republican how would people act here?
Would they claim lies as they do now or praise him?

why they wasted him if he was unarmed?

because you cant revive a body that has been dead for years.
were is DEVGRU (ST6) the group wo for some reason is not a group but is?

who is worse the person who makes the monster then yells monster we he can no longer control it
or just the monster?
sadam helped to power by USA
givin WMD's by USA
he no longer wants to play ball
he is a monster

kim ill jong or how ever its spelled
north korea
because they have out dated nuclear garbage
baby bush gives him USA nuclear fuel to re vitalize his power plants
baby bush wave the requirement that UN inspectors go in to make sure no funny stuff is going to be done
he stops playing ball and becomes a danger to south Korea and " he is a monster who has nuclear weapons"
How many time will the USA build a monster and then blame the monster for all the evil while looking as innocent as the USA can

I think I already have :)

NickP has. Pointed out that its a terrible idea and is against everything we stand for but what he doesn't realize that its not to anger our enemy but to give justice, proof and closure to US! Would it be insensitive to our enemy?....perhaps, but he is our enemy and we don't owe our enemy any sesitivity nor would he give it to US. Bedwetters forget that we are still in a WAR! No time to play nice. Will doing such a thing bring out the bad guys enforce? Yes......it would be a good way to smoke them out to the surface and dispatch them accordingly.

I Agree, and it is no more insensitive than us having to see innocent civilans jump to thier death from 90 stories. Show me the pictures and videos of the spineless, nutless, POS coward's last moments

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, but the news of his death does not feel like justice; more like revenge. Hear me out.

With it comes finality, yes. But there is no satisfaction in the death of a man...any man, no matter how vile. Contributing my urine to his rotting corpse, as is so tastelessly suggested here, would only reaffirm the arrogance that is so bitterly despised abroad. To go headlong down that path lacks introspection.

Don't mistake me for one in the bleeding-heart, "can't we all just get along" crowd. I fully support our military action here. It's long overdue, in fact, and I do feel some relief at the news of bin Laden's death. But his followers will only grow more defiant from here. Only One can change the hearts of man, and the ground troops won't be in tactical gear.

Goodnight

I'll sleep just fine with revenge, justice, karma, etc... The world is a better place now

A possible scenario;
"Mr. President, (You worthless piece of socialist detritus) We have found the location of Bin Laden".
"Well, as president I'll have to decide whether or not to act on this information!"
"Mr. President, this info is widespread amongst the intelligence community, and since the intell is from GWB's Guantanimo enhanced interrogation methodology, and many in the loop are actually patriotic Americans (Unlike you, you sorry commie.) it's felt that news will soon get out that we know where the muslim murderer is, and if you don't do something you will lose in '012 because of it."

2 and 1/2 seconds pass;

"My decision is to Kill Bin Laden!"

And there is no doubt in my mind that that is the sum total of Obama's concerns in this whole matter.

Come on guys stick with the topic, "Osama Bin Laden is dead". At the rate it's going I'm not going to have any choice but to close the thread soon.

You got it boss, sorry for going off reservation.

So, where do we go from here? Will we see a power struggle or fragmentation of Al quida?
Or will we see a resurgence fueled by his death? I can see Iran taking advantage of an opportunity here.

We still have the same situation we did before which is now even more complicated with Pakistan's self-interests laid bare. We still have a bunch of Al Qaida being trained in the hinterlands between Pakistan and Afghanistan that we're in effect getting no help from the Pakis to resolve.

Iran is far less interesting right now and we already f'ed them up but good with Stuxnet. The Pakistan situation bothers me more. Not only do we have we pulled the bedsheets away from a nation we shouldn't trust, but that nation has nukes and can easily "misplace" a few to terrorist organizations that they're friendly to.

Good point about the stuxnet virus :)
But like you said they (the Pakis). Have something that Iran desperetly want. So we may see a working relationship with Pk/Iran.
An even more frightening thought is since we nailed OBL in a country that has Nukes who's. To say that his orginisation doesn't already have such a device in hand?
That may have been his "insurance" policey.

GW Bush committed over 2 trillion dollars (ultimate costs) to seek out this fool. He even invaded a country unrelated to the 9/11 attacks under Cheney's 1% rule - if there is a 1% chance of an Iraqi link w/ bin Laden, take the whole place out. During this whole mess, nothing but fawning admiration from the right wing patriots. Now Obama actually gets the guy behind the mass murders in NYC and DC, worst attack on our soil since Pearl Harbor, and the President is being called a "worthless piece of socialist detritus" and a "sorry commie". So tell me why this talk is not treasonous BS.

Stay on topic so the thread isn't closed ... please

Why is Obwan taking so much credit for bin Laden's death: I did this ...., I told them to ...., I decided to ...., etc during his speech, but yet he claims to have not known a thing about "Project Gunrunner" and the murders of US and Mexican citizens carried out with the weapons?

Something doesn't smell right!!

OK I'm forced to to start deleting posts from here on out, fair warning. This is an important event in our history and I don't want to close it because of political fights so from here on out don't complain when political posts disappear.
