The holster that I posted earlier can as part of an inheritance.
The family is getting old and at 79 I am the youngest of my
generation.
The holster came with a 1865 colt police pocket. It is the
1862 model gun made in 1865 according to Colt records.
Been in the family for a long time. Just cannot place who
had it before 1890.
It will remain the family as long as I can find someone who
will promise not to sell it.
The issue is that Colt says that the loading lever is not
original. Some says that it looks as if it was made by a
blacksmith.
I would like to replace it with an original loading lever.
I know that the change of finding one that some one
would sell is about impossible, but if I don't ask I will
never find one. So, does anyone have an original loading
level for a model 1862 police pocket pistol with the
longer barrel?
