Up for sale is a couple rifles which are becoming safe queens so I'm sacrificing them to thin the herd and fund an ocean kayak.
**the scratches you can see are because I manipulated the lighting to over exaggerate the blemishes. Under normal light they are not hardly visible.
First is a Remington 700 SPS "Big Game," limited edition 1:500 in 375 HH. I bought it on a whim in 2009 for a safari I had scheduled in August of 2010. It's the only time it's been hunted with. I took a gemsbok and a blesbok with it. It has a 24" barrel and synthetic stock. Adjustable open sights (and hooded front sight) for those close quarter shots and an adjustable barrel sling mount for comfort. Matte finish (but can't remember if it's a parkerized or cerekoated) on the barrel, bolt and action. Large factory recoil pad which is appreciated to absorb the recoil; the rifle weighs about 8.75lbs as you see it so it's fantastic for those long hikes behind gates. Has less than 160 rounds through it. Comes with the cartridge stock sleeve and scope pictured which is a matte finish Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 with a duplex reticle. It has flip up Butler Creek scope covers. It's fastened securely with Warn rings and bases. This set up went to Africa and without the slightest shift in POI. Comes with 100 pieces of brass shown and the two live rounds shown. It's a great rifle for the price but if I ever go back to Africa I'm only taking my bow and have a lot of other rifles that more appropriately fit my style and need for hunting stateside in the meantime. Absolute sledge hammer of a round capable of making quick kills on anything on the planet up to and including Africa's Big 5! Even if Africa isn't your bag, imagine showing this limited production rifle off to your buddies at this years elk camp!

Next is a Marlin 917V in 17HMR. I haven't been on a rat hunt in YEARS and I refuse to pay premium rates for the access a "sage rat guide" can provide. 22" bull barrel, 2-7 round magazines, matte finish BSA 6-24x50 scope with a removable 4 3/8" sun shield and mil dot reticle. The scope has screw on metal scope covers. Comes with the 350 rounds shown plus 1 partial box (@$10+/box that's over $70 worth of ammo!). I don't remember what rings it has and have no idea what the round count is but If I had to guess I'd say 500-600. I've had a lot of fun with this very accurate little package but it's time to move on.
$300 obo
The only trades I'll entertain are for a Hobie Outback or Pro angler, ocean kayak fishing gear, saltwater rod/reel combo.
Salem area but willing to travel a reasonable distance for serious buyers with the right offer.
