The only way a president can keep the gifts given to him .
Is to pay the value of it .
Hilary got in TROUBLE for this when bill was the rapist in charge.
She tried to keep some of the stuff given to them.

Ugh. That is one gaudy gun
True but not nearly as bad as some of those 'American Legacy' guns. When I clicked on the link I was expecting something worse, about like the AL guns.
Celebrate YOUR legacy in the Towing and Recovery career field with this fine memento.
I am anxiously awaiting the 'American Computer Programmer' series.

Trump can afford it, unlike the Clintons who stole WH property (like the expensive kitchen china, and pieces of furniture) on their way out! Anyone remember that? I sure do. o_O
For some weird reason they liked the letter "W" and took every one of them from the computer keyboards in the White House.

I hope he did a background check so the Dems won't try to impreach him for that too
Didn't you hear, Mueller just finished that on Friday and seems he cleared it.

I don't mean to offend, but that pistol looks disgusting...
I actually like the CZ75 because it is ornate, yet not over zealous like the Colt you posted (typical of decorative pistols).
I'm also a sucker for gold and silver engraved Mauser C93's with rhino ivory grips... because WHY NOT? :s0108:

I'd pair the CZ that Trump got with a nice OU shotgun while bird hunting, just to stick it to them! ;)

From the story:

You mean "openly embraced the Second Amendment" by......
  • Banning bumpstocks
  • Suggesting gun confiscation without due process
  • Suggesting a law to raise the age for all gun sales to 21
I'm not convinced that these kind of embraces are good for American gun owners.

I personally believe that he doesn't deserve such a beautiful work of art, until he quits restricting gun rights, repeals the restrictions he's enacted and actually does something inline with "the right of the people to keep and bear arm, shall not be infringed" by returning some of the gun rights that have been stolen from us by the government and its overreaching agencies.

First off, I don't see that calling out Trump (and other RINO's for that fact) for saying he supports the 2A, then stabbing us in the back, as advocating to vote for know anti-gun democrats. I'm a one issue voter (2A) and have no problem calling out anyone and everyone who betrays the 2A, whether democrat or republican, including the republicans demigod (Reagan), for the Mulford Act, banning the importation of shotguns, the Hughes amendment, the Brady act and his insistence on the AWB.

Secondly, are you trying to tell me that there are "lefties" who aren't already on "the Trump hate train"? If so, I call BS, as everyone left of center has bought their tickets and are already seated. By the way, nobody whose ever talked to me would think that I would be trying to get people to vote democrat/socialist, it's actually quite the opposite.

Third, my "balance scales" are nowhere near the left as you proclaim, especially when it comes to gun rights. I know exactly what side of the isle that 99% of the anti gun laws are coming from and I actually do more than just complain about it on the internet to try to stop them. I believe in holding people accountable for their actions, instead of pretending something didn't happen, just because of the party they belong to. By your attack on me for doing just that, makes it seem that you would be more than happy to just sweep any infringement done to the 2A by a republican, under the rug and ignore it, like it didn't happen. If not, then why the heartburn?

Both of Trump's older sons target shoot and hunt. (One of them comes to Montana often.) I do not know if the youngest son shoots or if his daughter shoots. I sincerely doubt if his son in law (The other half of Javanka.) shoots or even LIKES guns considering his and/or their very liberal background and who they supported with money and more in political fundraising. Anti gun candidates. Fact not fiction. I am NOT being rude here just stating the facts of their past support of very ANTI GUN and anti conservative candidates. That goes for other people in the family too. Fact not fiction.

I don't know how often President Trump shoots IF at all but he does have his NY carry permit.

Is it up to date? Beats me.

I believe that he was required to shoot in military school.

I think that the gun gift was a NICE GESTURE from another country to the USA.

(I think that the gifted gun should be shot and used often too. NOT sitting on some shelf or in a warehouse with other foreign gifts.)

That country is pro gun and is proud of it's GUN heritage.

They want to keep their freedom and they have been active in pro gun issues in Europe!

I like plainer guns myself but to each their own. I do THINK that this is a wonderful GIFT to the USA and a wonderful gesture of friendship between our two countries!

Disclaimer: My husband and I have several CZ bolt action rifles in our home and we love them. I own one CZ rifle.

I used to own more lever action rifles (More RF than CF.) over the years, late 90's and on, and on one of them (My former Browning BL 22.) in the better grade solid walnut - more expensive rifle - it came with a gold trigger. It has something to do with the history of the rifle and I can't remember what the story is on it now. Sorry.

And with all of what I said above... I do hope that President Trump wakes up and smells the coffee when it comes to TRUE gun rights and the actual meaning of the Second Amendment.

Not just words in rallies or on freaking Twitter.

Maybe he can get his older sons to teach him more about guns and shooting. I doubt that he has shot much or gone gun shopping since he was a young man or however old he was when he got his original NY gun carry permit.

I hope that he DOES shoot this CZ pistol gift and that he does not do something stupid and careless like former VP Dick C. when he went duck hunting and shot another hunter. They sure tried to cover up that story too.

How many of you have shot this type of CZ pistol (Factory model!) and can you tell me about it please?

I saw it in the news the other day and on this thread but I have never seen one at the range to the best of my memory.

I am showing this to my husband right now.

Thank you!

Cate
PS: Maybe I have to ask this in the semi automatic section.

Never mind. My husband said that he has seen this CZ factory gun and that they are pretty famous. The story says this too. He said that they are known to be reliable and well made. He never owned one or had a chance to shoot one himself.

and especially by resisting extreme political pressure to withdraw Justice Kavanaugh's nomination, and in addition the 177 nominations President Trump made to lower federal courts, 92 of whom have been confirmed, President Trump has done more to protect and preserve our Second Amendment rights for the next 20+ years than any of his predecessors.

Can you imagine who Hillary would have put on the court if she had won? If Hillary had won Justice Ginsburg no doubt would have retired, and Hillary would have put three nominees on the Supreme Court. Can you imagine what would have happened to our rights if Hillary had been able to put three 40-something-year-old Ruth Bader Ginsburgs on the Supreme Court, as well as packing the lower courts with anti-gun judges? Kiss your Second Amendment rights goodbye.

The horrific Las Vegas, Parkland, and Pittsburgh synagogue mass shootings all happened during Trump's term, and all we got was a bump stock ban. Can you imagine what might have followed if Hillary had won? How about President Hillary Clinton issuing not only a bump stock ban but also an executive order banning all importation of 5.56, 7.62x39, and 5.45x39 ammo. Would that have been better? And now that the Democrats control the House, and with a President Hillary Clinton twisting RINO arms in the Senate, who knows what we would be fighting at the national level. No complaints about President Trump from me, especially when you look at the big picture, the political pressure he has resisted after three horrific mass shootings, and considering the alternative.

By the way, I visited NRA headquarters in Fairfax, VA yesterday (cost me a $50 cab fare to get there) and toured the NRA National Firearms Museum. Fantastic collection, including many firearms used in movies like Rio Lobo, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Dirty Harry, Die Hard, Rambo, and others. Worth the trip if you are in the DC area.

Exactly this, if he does nothing else he's already done his job with these Court appointees.
Bad form on the B S deal but think he threw the dogs a bone (Dems)....

Good for the judges on the Supreme Court but that still does Not Excuse any of the anti gun TALK, new ! ideas or new gun laws coming out of D.C. from President Trump, any Rs, any Ds, from any other party affiliation, support of the Red Flag laws, age restrictions on gun buying, the bump stock ban with not even having it grandfathered in or PAYING people for their bump stocks in a BUY BACK, etc.

And I don't own or want a bump stock but how that came about with the 'ban' and with ALL of the other anti gun crapola going around in all states and out of the politicians mouths in the District of Criminals is just plain wrong. Dead wrong.

Flip flopping, outright lying, bans, MORE restrictive gun laws, etc. from ALL parties and all branches of government when it comes to the Second Amendment does not help any gun owner and, in fact, it is downright Unconstitutional.

If they can do it with a gun part (Bump stock.) no matter how much 'I think' the part is stupid but TO EACH THEIR OWN... they can do it with any other GUN PART or TYPE, BRAND, STYLE, 'LOOKS', MAGAZINE CAPACITY OF ANY FIREARM.

Where is the national reciprocity CCW law? One simple law that will make an honest gun owning person HONEST in any state when he travels for pleasure, work, etc.?

We should not even have to HAVE a conceal or open carry law since it should ALL BE LEGAL but that will not happen in my lifetime.

Where is the hearing protection law?

What about the AGE for buying all types of guns? There should be ONE LAW for all states too. Shotgun, rifle or handgun. ONE LEGAL AGE for all states.

IF you are old enough to fight in a war, defend your country and serve your country in any capacity with or without using a .gov rifle, vote, sign a contract, drive a car/truck/etc., buy a product, etc. - you should be able to buy any type of firearm.

How much are the FEDS going to give each state if they pass the bs Red Flag Law when we already have laws ON THE BOOKS that will cover the criminals and whack-a-doodles?

I have read figures on this RFL deal with a lump sum of 100 Million Dollars here and there but I do not know how accurate the news is on that figure.

Side note: I believe what they (Specific politicians, the freaking media, the CA woman and others who admitted that they LIED, etc.) did to Judge Kav was a crying shame and how those people can live with themselves is beyond me.

Most people have 3 options when it comes to voting.
1) Vote Democratic
2) Vote Republican
3) Don't vote (or vote 3rd party)

People who are enthusiastically for their candidate tend to vote for that candidate. People who are unenthusiastic don't vote or vote 3rd party. The danger of the pro-gun community constantly harping on the imperfections of their own candidates (e.g. Trump & Buehler) is that it reduces the enthusiasm of voters who would otherwise be committed to voting for those pro-gun candidates. You can argue that maybe they aren't really pro-gun candidates, but they certainly aren't the anti-gun candidates who will win if we don't vote for our own candidates due to doubt induced apathy. "What's the use?" "We can't win?" "It's all rigged." Those thoughts echoing around the pro-gun community ensure victory for the anti's by discouraging pro-gun voting.
