Nothing worse than someone who wants to tell you what your political beliefs should be when all you want to do is enjoy range timeI've learned to get along with most anybody I meet at ranges/shops despite my "differing" opinions. However, there will always be those who seem to steer the conversation to topics that aren't welcome. You'll also meet people that give you the creeps (I had a fella confess that he would shoot a "libtard" on sight... needless to say I kept quiet). For the most part I've never really cared how a shop or range leaned but I've learned a lot from the good folks I've met at them (and ignored the nasty ones).
I know a few. My WW2 veteran grandfather, my Vietnam vet father and uncle, Korean War vet uncle, a few Afghanistan vet buddies, and a few who teach safety courses. Funnily enough, my "left leaning" and very proficient/safe uncle was shot during pheasant season by a right winger because apparently pheasants wear blaze orange caps and vests. The only left leaning gun owner I know shot himself in the left leg while hunting years back and it never healed right.
Your uncle hunts with former Portland Police Chief Larry O'Dea?Funnily enough, my "left leaning" and very proficient/safe uncle was shot during pheasant season by a right winger because apparently pheasants wear blaze orange caps and vests.
Haha it's amazing how often it happens. Too often. Must've been sleeping during hunter's ed.Your uncle hunts with former Portland Police Chief Larry O'Dea?
The Gun Room in Portland.Guess you could say I'm a socialist. Looking for a left leaning shop(s) somewhere in Oregon. Anything like that around?
Or places to shoot that draw in fellow left leaning gun owners.
HUH? the small intestine is 9.84' to 34.4' the large intestine is about 5' longI know a few. I also know of a few good old boys back home that were drunk and pointing shotguns at each other for... fun. The one who was shot lost 50 feet of intestine. I myself have never had a N.D. and routinely find myself the least scary individual at the public range. But hey, I must suck because of my political leanings and the lack of NRA stickers on my truck's rear window.
I sense another Reddit thread coming soon...
Lol...
