It does, but I'm not sure that it unique to a brake, and not a flash hider.I assumed that it also served as a wear part, taking the brunt of the heat and pressure,
I haven't shot a rifle unsuppressed since I got back into suppressors.So maybe it's just a break for when your suppressor is on another gun.
