Had these guys do a private party tranfer and backround check done. Lots of cool stuff in the shop. Contacted me as soon as my check cleared will use them again.
I've purchased two guns through Sunset and used him for an FFL transfer. Communications from him are great! He's a very nice guy and he's very easy to deal with. I highly recommend him if you are in the area and it's worth the drive from Portland.
Gordon is the owner/operator of Sunset Firearms in Wilsonville, OR. He has sold a bunch of firearms, some ammo and some AR uppers for me. He has always moved the items quickly and for a fair price. I have also done quite a few transfers there as well. His store space is cozy but he makes good use of the space. He is a super nice guy and very very Pro 2nd Amendment and doesn't mind talking about it. He open late mornings and is closed Sun and Mon, so call ahead to get hours.

i have had good experiences and bad but for the most part good. after the last bad one I havent been back but its probably time to swing through and see what he
has again.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Nice selection for a smaller store.
Dropped by to perform a private-party transfer. Staff was helpful and courteous. A refreshing change from other gun shops that view transfers as nothing but a headache. I will be back….
Have only visited a few times, but each visit was great. My local gun shop moved out of state a few years ago and I have been looking for a solid replacement. I think I have found what I am looking for in SunSet Firearms.
I love Gordon to death, he runs a great shop and includes the BG into the price, so its an out the door price. He is on par with almost every single shop and with the BG included, your usually 10 bucks cheaper walking out. Take the drive south!
Stopped in for a transfer, impressed with the inventory

I stopped in for a private party transfer and walked away with a great experience and desire to return. Their inventory was very impressive for a shop of that size, the prices were fair, and the overall experience was great.
Poor attitude, NO communication does not know laws regaurding black powder guns
Gordon was fine at first, but then would not let me know how the sale was progressing, as I live out of town. Called repetedly, sent text messages and even E-Mailed No response for a week. I texted today, and he had sold the gun to someone else. Good for him .We will not be doing business there EVER.
I've been going to Sunset Firearms for about 3 years now. Gordon is always super helpful and treats me very well. He's fine with me having firearms shipped to him when I find something hard to get cheaper online. If he can, he'll always try to get something for me at the best price possible. The only caveat here; it's best to call ahead to be sure he's there since he's a one man shop.
Friendly guy. I purchased a few guns from Deschutes Arms and Munitions and the transaction and transfers was at Sunset Firearms. During that period there were crazy long wait times.... The rep/owner had great communication and was a pleasant transaction. I would recommend their services and would use them again.
