At the range lanes, no not really able to get a safe direction as all 4 lanes are on different sides of the same mountain.

Further along North Fork Wolf Creek Road there are some sites that are wider spaced with good back stop.

I'm looking for an area where I can shoot a variety and can accommodate a somewhat large group full with experienced and inexperienced shooters. I haven't settled on North Fork, just doing some research. Any suggestions? Also needs to be near the coast.

Brown's camp might be your best bet for something like that, although I would expect to get there early. Finding a spot for clays on public land that is safe and follows the guidelines for target shooting is exceedingly difficult.
