Has anyone used the Butt Out for game dressing?

As I was typing that sentence I was aware that it may end up in that "other" thread.

If I was not on my mobile basically this entire thread would be there in some form or other.

I've used one a few times. When it works, it's pretty impresive how fast it pulls the whole thing out and really makes it a snap to cleanly cut off. I had at least once where instead of hooking and pulling it out, it kind of ripped it apart instead. I never bothered using it long-term but it really can work pretty well.

Gutting an elk without messing with the poop chute at all is fairly straight forward. Get a small bone saw and make 2 cuts on the pelvis and zip open the ribs, all the insides come out clean all at once. Get to keep more tasty cuts of meat than the gutless method.

hey if you bone the meat you don't get those tasty Elk T Bones, the closer to the bone the sweeter the meat!

the same with fish, filet the fish you throw away the best part of the fish.
