Year of the Rat!

Well, for those of you who have followed along on my knife journey, you'll notice I spent a lot of $$ the last few months. Just when I thought I found what I wanted, something else would catch my eye. I am going to say, I think I may have finally ended my search for the perfect fitting knife! Today, the mail person just brought me my Ontario Rat 1 w/D2 blade. It is perfect in size and feel! I want to know I'm holding a knife when it is in my hands and this sucker answers the need. I believe the others are going to be sitting in the safe for quite a spell!

I do too and wish I'd discovered this one a lot sooner! Could've saved me some duckets. I haven't been able to find a single fault in this knife.

So, I just couldn't help myself and finding the Ontario Rat 1 w/D2 blade to a very fine knife, had to order a custom one. Here she is with rat lasered onto scales, red scales and bronze spacers. Also an acid washed finish on blade. @Kruel J

I got a good deal on mine because the guy I bought it from didn't think it was very fancy... even took the time to scratch his opinion on the blade.

Been a while since I looked into these... I only carried this one for a minute before I went full on spyderco fanboy...
AUS 8 isn't bad, but D2 might be enough of an upgrade to pull one back into rotation.

I have a couple. I try out others, but always end up going back to the RAT1.

They seem to have grown into a family of Rats! All Mod 1's with D2 blades.
