Posting this in this forum because I expect people here will have more knowledge about the issue.
Costco currently has Original Wheat Thins on sale. We bought some and then noticed that the expiration date is "23August" so they are much closer to expiration than the usual 6-9 months. Internet search indicates that one can expect the contents to still be good nearly a year after the expiration date if stored in a cool, dark place. That makes sense. Does anyone here have a different opinion?
I am unsure if all these have similar expiration dates. If you buy some, pay attention to the date. It would make sense that they would be marking down inventory that is getting too old.
