That's a good read.

Watching a fair number customers over the years, shop for their first gun; I've noticed most of the shop associates doing the right thing; by not selling a Python to a new or petite customer etc.

The transformation to being a gun owner seems to be as much like something Michael Angelo purportedly said about his sculptures (works of art we're hidden underneath the marble blanks; all he did was reveal them), as it is that a new person is born upon ownership
