Well, Folks, here it is. 1944-build K31 in 7.5x55v Swiss with an old Weaver scope and Swiss Products of Kalispell MT's latest baby - the Over-Bore Mount [aka OBM]. Priced at $145.00 and totally Made in America. See SP's website for details. There is also some special deal going if you already have the old clamp-on mount, but you'll need to read that up - my other has a basic x4 K4 scopes on it.
1. Fitted the scope in my QR mounts.
2. Went to range this morning and bore-sighted it.
3. Fired first two two shots - not too shabby - high, as expected due to OBH of scope.
4. Using the one-shot zero-ing method, as taught by dad sometime in the 60's, made elevation corrections to shoot two inches high, loaded up six rounds and fired for effect.
5. The effect @100m.
6. DING!
7. Azimuth correction next time. That was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fun!
