Here's an opportunity to own a truly unique AR-15. The build spared no expense, cut no corners—nothing but the best of the best.
This was a project I took on with the following goals:
1. Write an article about assembling a viable sniper AR-15
2. Reliably produce ½" MOA groups
3. Bring together the best parts and knowhow the industry has to offer.
The result is an arresting firearm. At the range, in gun stores, among friends—onlookers are seized. The List below gives you glimpse of the parts used and associated prices. In total you're looking at a gun that has cost me over $6,000. Aesthetics aside, shooting the rifle is one of the most pleasurable firearm experiences I've ever had.
The barrel and upper and lower receivers are made by Northtech Defense. The receivers are CNC machined billet. The 16" fluted stainless barrel is chambered in 223 Wylde and has 5L rifling in 1x8 twist. It shoots anything you can feed it—any weight 5.56 or .223—but its favorite load is Black Hills 69 gr. Sierra Matchking .223. In total, the gun has flawlessly cycled 280 rounds. My best group has been 0.45" (5 shots taken at 100 yards).
The gun is in perfect, near-new condition.
There is a lot more to say. If you wish to learn more, send me a note.
