Senate Democrats on the judiciary committee authorized subpoenas in Supreme Court ethics probe. The republicans staged a walkout on the vote questioning the authority legitimacy. The blue chairman (Durbin) did admit the order may require a 60 passing vote in the senate to enforce the order. But, evidently feels they have big enough pants on to usurp senate authority, anyway! Bless their little hearts....
No surprise, really. Blatantly just an attempt to restructure the SCOTUS. They also introduced new legislation to impose additional ethics codes on the Justices. A case of... "we'll imposed new codes so our probe can find you in violation of them!"(??)
What was legal we now say is "illegal'.. you're now a criminal... so we can now "legally" make you do what we want you to. Hmm... where have we seen that playbook before(??)
