That's like RAC (rotary autocannon)/power-operated Gatling territory. M61 Vulcan or GAU-8 Avenger class.
If the Anti-2as want to set a ROF minimum for "Machine Guns" at let's just say, 900 rounds a minute (15 a sec); then the old .50 Browning M2HB and the 30 cal M1919 (not the AN/M2 which can apparently do 1200) would be "not machine guns" by rate of fire :s0140:

But we know they want to to cap semiautomatic speed to something closer to 400-600 rounds a minute or less, with their arguments against the binary and forced reset triggers

Ironically, under that test 1928-model Thompsons would be legal (650rpm) but 1921s (850-950) not... and the only difference is some parts in the BLish locking mechanism.

If you have money to turn into smoke, noise and once-fired brass, emptying a C-drum in about ten seconds flat should do nicely for just about anybody... LOL

I said mimimum :s0140: as in if it can fire over 600rpm its a machine gun and not a semiautomatic rifle
