I have been trying to find out when my rifle was made. It was made by Mossberg (model #472PCA?).
Its very nice and looks like a Marlin but with the left side safety lever it's a Mossberg.
It's a model 205 with serial number 912_ _ _ .
Anybody out there that can help please???

Thanks, ARFrog. I've been looking for info on this model. Mine is probably about a 90-95% gun, very little wear and clean and shiney. Any idea what it is worth? Rick
From The Gun Values Board...

The Revelation Model 205 is a variant of the Mossberg Model 472 PCA made in the period 1973-1978. There are no records to give a more exact date.

Retail value for a gun in good or better condition would range from $125 to $225 depending on mechanical and bore condition and remaining original wood and metal finish.
