Time to gave my M39 a rest. Rifling does not care for lead bullets, getting worn. So I pulled an M28 out of the cobwebs and cleaned it up. It shot 180gr. lead into a 4" pattern at 50 yards. 3 went into 1 1/2" with 2 fliers. Was shooting off the roof of the wagon and not wearing glasses. It was hitting were it was aimed when I did my part out to 75 yards. Took it out again today and stretched it out more. I've a steel plate 9"x14" at 200 yards and was hitting every time with surplus FMJ. With glasses and a shooting bench. I don't shoot as much as I used to so wearing this one out is not likely.
