I got it at a pawn shop in Denver believe it or not it was literally under a pile of guns. I saw the shiny stock and they dug it out and not a scratch on it same place I bought a Winchester model 50 for $100 !
 
Loved mine, regrerts selling it! That gun simply didn't miss, made me look like a pro, something I'm most assuredly not! Kept the 870 TC, the smoothest shooting pump guns ever made, back when Remington OWNED the world! Sadly, they took the long slide down to oblivion!
 
I have one that I inherited from my late old man. I'd really like to find another barrel to do something like this (I don't feel right chopping on the one that was his).

Good Lord! PLEASE don't chop a 1100 barrel! Especially if it's a trap barrel.
They are easy enough to find. If you chop it, you lose the choke.
Ya a shorty looks cool but believe me you want a choke.
