When the mayor said assault weapons, it's hard to know what he is talking about. A 10/22 with evil intentions or an actual machine gun.

I would do some digging into the mayor as well. I didn't think there were many police chiefs that had different views than the mayor. Think Commissioner Gordon & Chief O'Hara from Batman.
