My kids and I are heading to Montana this fall for the first time to hunt mule deer. Not asking for anyone's honey hole but if somebody would be willing to point us in the right direction it would be appreciated. I'm currently looking at the Custer National Forest but have heard that areas deer population has been hit hard by recent droughts. We are not trophy hunters but really hoping to see multiple bucks and hopefully bag 3pt or better deer.

Sprink,

I'm sorry but Montana has been over run. The quality of deer is down so nobody is telling anyone anything anymore. My son has friends at school that are blindfolded by dads so they can not share hunting areas with their friends. The onslaught from outsiders has zipped lips.

Good luck on your hunt.
