A convicted felon in possession fires at police in a walmart parking lot and attempts to carjack a person at gun point. Minnesota let's him out on bail only to turn around in Utah... transporting 9lbs of meth, steals a cop car during a traffic stop, uses the LEO's rifle to shoot at officers, attempts to carjack a person at gun point... shooting the passenger in the leg... and is finally captured.

Utah gives the guy 25yrs for a slew of charges while the Minnesota charges? Their DA hasn't done a thing to move their charges forward.

Nothing new really. Just another case illustrating the vast differences between the blue agenda vs an actual American state.

why do blue states let violent criminals go free?

If you don't leave the bad actors on the streets to terrorize the population they lose the emotional fodder to argue.... "If you will only give up more personal freedoms... let us control your lives more... and we'll protect you.".

Not to forget they would also diminish their voter base. Criminals and their families can vote too! :s0155:

Kinda reminds me of Robocop

But he was just turning his life around. I say release him. Bus him back to Minnesota. In fact, release all inmates and bus them to Minnesota. It will help with prison overcrowding.

The legal system there is bonkers. Why was bail even offered? Those are serious charges, as in high likelihood of fleeing post-bail type charges..

Judges that are involved in the release of violent criminals like this should be disbarred, This soft on crime nonsense is ridiculous. With what he did, no bail should have been offered. I'm not sure if there is some state law check list or national check list that needs to be met to be offered bail.. but certain illegal actions within society should limit the bail out option. Firing at cops and carjacking someone at gun point are just a couple..

It's a uber-liberal Leftist mantra, overlooking lawlessness and criminal behavior in the name of social justice.

If you don't enthusiastically agree with them you will be labeled a racist.

And, it gets better, while violent crime is up, the social justice warriors wish to disarm what they term "Ordinary Citizens!"

In Portland, our entire City Commission as well as our Mayor and County Attorney all have enhanced police protection in the way of taxpayer installed "Panic Button's" in their homes that ring directly to police precincts.

All while having cut funding to the Portland Police Bureau denying "Ordinary citizens" average Police protection while they enjoy ehnanced Police protection. (Can you spell Hypocrisy?)

The way to end this would be to vote out the "extra protections" they give themselves. Would be LOL funny to watch their reactions if voters had enough and told them no. You want private security you pay for it out of your pocket. :s0140:
