I removed a regular 14x1 LH Krink-Style Muzzle Brake that came off my 5.56 rifle can that be used on a 7.62 since the muzzle threads are the same? The circumference diameter seems wide enough but I don't want to risk having a kaboom!!

I did out of curiosity, put a 9 mm round into the break and it fit. that leads me to believe that a 30 caliber projectile would fit, but I wanted to see what you guys thought about that. I would never run ammo that I did not feel safe putting the rifle.

Any concerns about changing the cycling properties, if this is a booster type brake?
None at all. Those things run fine without a "booster" and in any case the one he has is the aftermarket knock off. The distal port is HUGE and its really made for 7.62x39. It doesn't do anything.
