Is old 30-06 black tip, tracer, and steel core ball ammo still in circulation? I have a friend trying to sell her late husband's 30-06 ammo. I am quite impressed with the volume and condition of his collection but I've got a few questions before I try to pick it up myself or help her get rid of it. I assume the ammo is legally grandfathered in by age, but how can I tell? Assuming it is legal to sell or to purchase what would a good price be?
The pictures below show the projectiles stuck to a magnet on her door, the cases and primers will not stick. Headstamp orientation from left to right in photo are black tip, orange tip, then ball. Any information will be a huge help.
