And, carry a gun hunting? My son just got his cannabis bust expunged. When can he get a hunting license and carry a gun? It would take some time for the expunged record to reach the fbi in DC, so he'd have to wait to purchase a firearm for some time? Thanks.

Has he gotten the letter confirming the expungement? If so he should be good to go. I believe Oregon informs the reporting agencies (ie: whomever keeps track of and reports your criminal records) of the expungement before you receive the signed letter.

And I don't think a record prohibits one from getting a hunting license as you can still own and hunt with a bow.

Wow, I think you may be right about OR. I don't think WA allows felons to possess muzzle loaders.

I've never applied for an OR hunting license but in WA no one asks if the applicant can legally hunt with a firearm.
