Wondering if their double stack 1911 in 10mm is reliable out of the box.l and how is fit and finish? Thx for any info!

I've played with the .45 double stack. My impression was that it's just a rock Island with a bigger grip. And very heavy, as the grip was all steel, not plastic like is standard on 2011 style guns. I'd imagine the 10mm is no different.

I have the double stack Tac Ultra in 10mm, it's a really well built firearm. I've never had it jam or ftf. The only downside is that with full power loads the brass goes into low orbit.

Anybody ever shot 10mm suppressed? How quiet is it? They have the threaded barrel/rail version for $660ish. I'm guessing it's really loud cuz .45 acp doesn't suppress that well and is lower power compared to 10mm?

But could put a little compensator on it which would be cool.

What are you smoking? .45 ACP suppresses better than almost anything but rimfire. Very low powder charge and almost every load sub sonic by default.

10mm probably suppresses better than 5.56 so there's that...

Have never shot it but all the real data I've seen (which isn't much) shows higher sound than expected. I haven't researched it that much though. Seems to me the only caliber worth trying to filter every last Db out anyway is 22LR subsonic. All others are some version of "loud".

Have been shooting 9mm subs in friends basement though at 126-128 db so I guess there is a benefit to that in terms of more places to shoot (if you have ventilation). But compare that to 22lr and there is no comparison. Even .22 pistol is around 114 db (ie less than half the sound of 9mm).

Can you still get it up there? Mine holds a surprising number of 10mm's
Exactly what I'm thinking for OR. Will we be able to buy these after m114 restarts? I'm guessing no. One the vendors won't ship them, 2 they may be technically illegal due to no 10 rounders (I'm not sure about that one).
