True story. Kid gets his kite stuck in a similar manner. Dad retrieves Browning .22, which he rests on son's shoulder. Dad shoots the kite free. I was the kid.

I should clarify that I was a teenager and wanted my kite back.

No way I would take that shot today. That round had to come down somewhere. We were on 5 acres, as were our immediate surrounding neighbors.
