Huh, I've never seen a QR code on an Elcan battery cap before

It was sitting on a clone rifle - QR was put there by the previous owner - the QR code is the ELCAN cage code for the SU-230. Prior to 2020, ELCAN did not laser etch the QR to the body of the Specter/SU. Current models have the QR etched in white on the right side of the unit - hope this helps.

ah yes, that makes sense. I never noticed the white QR code on my 2022 model until now. Thanks for the info!
