After carrying in a fanny pack for years, I recently switched to this rig. You can draw through the arm hole in a vest. Seated or standing makes no difference.

And this is all I wear when I go to the Blue Oyster bar.

I carry in front of the hip, I used to carry behind the hip. I was a 'professional driver' for most of that time, and it hurt. I also took a spill on the ice in SW Portland once, and my gun dislodged from its holster (kydex holster, I hit the ground HARD) and it too, hurt. Thankfully the gun didn't discharge. Since switching to "modified appendix" as I call it (I carry at 1:30-2 o'clock position) sitting and driving are far more comfortable, I don't have a gun jamming me in the back, and access is far, far faster.

When I'm suited up for work I carry strong side 3 o'clock in a duty rig and pull the seat belt low and kind of pin it under my TQ carrier so its out of the way of the retention hood on the holster when I'm driving. That's solely for the commute to / from work.
