Very Interesting that you heard the booms. I wonder if those were from the earthquake itself or from the earthquake shaking something man made.

Because you heard 2 my guess is that first one was from p wave shaking something man made and second one was from the S wave also shaking something. But if you were close to the epicenter it could be the earthquake itself that you heard as I've heard that can happen if you are close.

We are 2.5 miles from epicenter. P-wave and or S-wave the cat did not like either.
