Question: Why does India need submarines? Wouldn't more food for their people be a better use of the money involved? The Indian gov't says they need them to oppose Chinese expansion into the Indian ocean. It seems like chronic Red Chinese incursions into India's northern border areas are a more immediate threat. But that's for them to decide.
