Concealed handgun license bans spread across Oregon school districts

Nearly 50% of public school students in Oregon now attend districts that have banned licensed handgun owners from bringing their weapons onto school property.

The effort to ban people from bringing guns into Oregon public schools, including those who have licenses that allow them to carry concealed handguns, is approaching a tipping point.

A decision this week by the Reynolds school board to ban licensed handgun owners from bringing their weapons onto school property means that nearly 50% of public school students in the state now attend districts that have such policies in place.

You can see how timid, fearful, intimidated and socially incompetent in judgement the school district board and or personnel are. Good law abiding people are the enemy? Lots of stupid people in Oregon involved with these policies.

The appropriate people with firearms in schools are a deterrent . When was the last time there was a mass shooting in UTAH ? To use the verbage of the looney left , if it saves only 1 child it is worth it . and they lost as it is Public property and can not stop chl on public property

True, but our progressive overlords recently passed legislation giving school districts the authority to flex their virtue signaling….

Until peepees and uteruses get smacked hard by SCOTUS... but even then.. look at NY after Bruen.... they doubled down and made practically the entire State a "sensitive place" in open defiance of SCOTUS. And there's that Judge in NY who went on record of sorts, as saying "The Second Amendment does not exist here in NY"
