Capitol Forest shooting....upper gravel pit open?

    Hi...last time I was up at the upper gravel pit there was a company getting ready to do some rock quarry work and they said the area would be closed for shooting...does anyone know if that's the case at this time &/or is there a time or day during the week or weekend when we can shoot up there?? thanks!!

    I was at the pit right before elk season and it was open and no one around.
