Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
I don't usually have a BUG, but if I carry one, I do matching Glocks.
For example--Carry G17/19 and BUG is G26. Magazine compatibility is important to me. Don't want to need bullets and have no efficient way of getting them into the gun. Having Glock mags fit each gun in the series is a nice benefit.
If your G17/19 breaks (not likely), you can still use the spare mags in the G26, which is a good deal.
My primary carry is a government model 1911 in either .45 ACP or 10mm with one spare magazine on my belt. My pocket Bug is a Sig P938 9mm with one spare magazine.
Currently saving to have a low end 9mm (Ruger SR9E) for a vehicle BUG, to be locked up in a case that I can bolt down in the trunk area.
Whenever I'm downtown Portland, I will carry two guns. G19 IWB and a Ruger SP101 in my backpack. This is because when The Big One hits, I do not just want to have one gun in downtown......
