Couldn't tell if it was the home owner or one of the assailants saying "hello" in the recording, but the inflection indicated whoever it was had an accent from south of the border.

I am not sure either who was saying hello. But wanted to post it if anyone is living in this area.

Me too on both counts. Since you can hear the perp's clothing drag across the microphone, I'd expect the voice to have been muffled if it were the perp, but the voice was very clear. I'm a little disappointed in his mispronunciation of "I have a gun and I'm calling the Police" though.
