is this real or did the people at store not want to hand it over?I went to pick up a gun i was approved for weeks ago and the people at the store said I couldn't pick it up and it had been quarantined by the atf.
How many days have gone by since you filled out the 4473?I went to pick up a gun i was approved for weeks ago and the people at the store said I couldn't pick it up and it had been quarantined by the atf.
This was my first thought. How many days have gone by since you filled out the 4473?
This was my first thought.
OP , if it's past a month since the initial, official bgc inquiry, your 4473 has " expired " .
The store should have had you start from the beginning.
two weeksHow many days have gone by since you filled out the 4473?
It's more likely FICS has you on a delay then. I would ask the FFL if they would show you any notes from the FICS transaction.two weeks
Yes, but:Eff. Jan 1st, Wash. State has a mandatory 10 day waiting period before a buyer can take possession of a newly purchased firearm. This will mean lots of guns sitting around in gun stores, waiting for pickup. I know many dealers don't want to store stuff like that, it takes up space.
Yes, I saw that he was in Ore. My comment about our situation here was anecdotal as to why gun stores might give reasons for whatever. His dealer in Ore. might be one that doesn't like to store guns for people waiting to pick up.Unless WA has annexed part of OR, which I would think would be big news.
