Argentine FAL kit, purchased from Sarco Inc in June 2012. "These are the super rare last model IV Argentine FAL. These kits have the closed ear barrel (gas block) and the paratrooper special rear sight. These guns were made at DGFLM under license from FN (Fabrique National) of Belgium, these are genuine metric FALs"
Everything as received from Sarco in the mail. Components were stored sealed in a mylar bag. Per request I opened it, my non-expert impression is:
- Lower and bolt stuff seem immaculate
- One handguard piece has whitish gunk
- Finish on the foresight suggests it was in service or rubbed in storage
- Chamber is chrome-lined
- Lower, bolt and carrier have the same part number (00914)
From FALfiles, a user reports for this kit SKU: "Front and rear sights are the closed para type, the lower is a standard type III cut, and the selector does not go to the auto position, it is marked S and R only."
Note 18 USC 922(R) requires discarding six or more parts when assembling your FAL. Can sell a DSA metric steel magazine separately if needed. USML Category III munitions: no export; US citizens only. May be restricted in WA state RCW 9.41.190.
