AR 15 stuck front takedown pin

@40isforme if you need a third hand or other help I can come by this evening or tomorrow.
I have plastic and steel picks and punches at home... if your correct in that the detent pocket is too deep then it (the detent) is acting as a dead-bolt and beating it will probably break the aluminum reciever before the steel detent or pin.

I don't why people continue to bother with substandard LPKs when SOLGW blaster guts are readily available and often on sale at PA for $25

Like other people have said the PSA .
LPK is not the best but I have a few that I have used with no probs.
I think you just got a bad pin.

I've used a couple from Red Barn Armory. They let you cherry-pick parts, upgrade, and remove bits you don't want or need.

Bring it over. If none of the usual tricks work (nice delrin punch and mallet, relieving spring tension), we can use the drill press open up the front side of the pin and pull the detent and spring out. I have extra forward takedown pins.

All of my lower builds have been PSA LPK only a few have the enhanced triggers, never had this problem. I've built AR15 and AR10 builds.

They're fast but IME when it comes to fast shipping Forward Control Design blows them away.
