I am talking about the 1989 import ban that banned "assault rifles" from import. Sar 48, HK91, etc. I was wondering how many U.S companies liked the decision. I read a 1989 article that Colt stopped selling to Civilians AR15 when the import ban happened. I was wondering if there were other companies who praised the decision, as I'm sure it helped Domestic production when they couldn't compete with some of these great imports.
